ryanmead83 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) I got up today and all my lamps were still on and on the ISY it was flashing the red Err light, only that light nothing else. Couldn't access it by the admin console either so pulled the power and it came back on right away. Error log shows nothing, just shows the below so bit nervous now. Any idea what would cause that out of the blue? Then 8:52 was when I got up and saw it off and restarted it. Edited September 14, 2015 by ryanmead83
LeeG Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) ERR blinking by itself indicates ISY File system problem. Power down ISY and reseat SD card. SD card may need to be replaced. From as ISY User Guide A blinking ERR LED indicates a file system error. Please power off the ISY and try to re-seat the SD card. If that does not help, the SD card may be defective. Please see Appendix C: Replacing / Upgrading Your SD Card Edited September 14, 2015 by LeeG
ryanmead83 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Thanks so much, I saw that online and I powered it off and took the card out and put it back in. Not sure if the card fixed it as I didn't try restarting it without but I did see that online as well. Hopefully replacing the car doesn't mean losing all of my settings and devices, as buying a new card should be pretty inexpensive although it is odd to have a SD card fail.

I removed the SD card and cleaned the contacts with a SOFT rubber eraser, put it back in and its been behaving nicely every since.
ryanmead83 Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Great thanks. Man after all the trouble I've been having lately with my system that I finally just fixed, I definitely didn't need this! I wish there was a camera on me to see my face coming down the stairs this morning to see the lamps still on!

Michel Kohanim Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Hi ryanmead83, This is on a 5.0.x release, correct? With kind regards, Michel
Michel Kohanim Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Hi ryanmead83, Thanks so very much. Would you be kind enough to send your error log to support@universal-devices.com? With kind regards, Michel
ryanmead83 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 Hi Michel just sent it to you, hope that helps. Mentioned in my email as well that the log might show a lot of start and stop (didn't look in detail). Was having major issues with my network so was restarting it often to troubleshoot. Turned out was a faulty GU10 light bulb, which after being removed brought the whole network back up. So normally it wouldn't be power cycling that often.
Michel Kohanim Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Hi ryanmead83, Git it. Thanks so very much. Will review and get back to you. With kind regards, Michel
ryanmead83 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 Thanks Michel, seems to be fine now haven't had any issues but wanted to provide in case it helps you with any 5.0 bugs.
