larryllix Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 See InsteonNut's comments above, post #23. I concur with this. I think you need to review your scenes and then your device links, with a compare, to check if links have been scrambled. Possibly review your key presses in MobiLinc. I don't click on icons in MobiLinc and the newer Android version has changed operation style slightly IIRC.

larryllix Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 How would I do that? Scenes you can visually check them to see if the proper devices are included in each scene. You can then turn each scene On and Off to prove that only those devices wanted activate. For devices you can select them on the device tree, right click the device | Diagnostics | Show links table. Now you should be presented with a list of links inside that device. You should see a few links with your PLM address in them. Click on the compare button at the bottom of this link table after it completes filling in. ISY will now show it's internal link table with what it thinks is inside of the device and do a line by line comparison. If all match then good! If some do not match then you need to right click on the device again and select Restore. This should correct the links in your devices so they only respond to links that ISY knows about. Any weird links between that device and other devices should be removed. Repeat this procedure for each and every device you have, especially the ones that appear to respond falsely. If the device does not respond with it's link table at all you may have to add the device into ISY or you may have a comm/ noise problem that needs to be cleared up first. Moving the devices close to the PLM and trying again should prove this problem. Let us know how you make out with this.

I did the diagnose and compare and found mismatches for each of the problem devices. I restored them all and the lights turn on and off by the Mobilinc button now. Thank you so much to all of you for helping me through this frustrating problem.
Blackbird Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 Blackbird, Please be aware that tapping the icon of a device will actually control the scene that the device is a controller of. So, please look at your scenes and the scene definition in the ISY. If the device is a scene controller, then the scene will receive the ON or OFF command (depends on the the status of the device). If the details of the device and tapping ON or OFF here works then it's almost certainly a scene definition issue. Wes I am curious when you say that "tapping on the icon will control the scene", does that mean the slider controls the light itself? I just don't understand why the slider worked fine but the on off icon did not. Thanks again
oberkc Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 I believe this comment was in reference to mobilinc abililty to enforce scene relationships even when controlling a device directly. For example, if device A is a controller for a scene that includes device B, directly controlling device A would normally not trigger the scene or device B. Mobilinc, I understand, recognizes this insteon limitation, however, and triggers the scene.

So glad to help and that it worked out! I think oberkc zoomed in on that one. I have learned over my few years to mostly trust these products.
