francoislegacy Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Hi, For the fist time, i saw a wireless thermostat that works with baseboard at line level. Do you think it might be possible to control it from ISY? Link to Caleo line level thermostat : https://casaconnect.com/en/ It seems to be pretty inexpensive also. Thanks
stusviews Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 The thermostat relies on WiFi. I don't know of any way to send WiFi signals directly from the ISY. There are, however, methods of controlling baseboard heating using a Z-Wave or Insteon thermostat and an Aube relay.
francoislegacy Posted January 5, 2016 Author Posted January 5, 2016 May be with the new ISY portal, it might work?
paulbates Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Hi I can't tell you exactly how, but according to the manual you can control it with ITTT. The ISY can provide commands to ITTT using the optional ISY network module. I'm fairly sure this means control only, meaning you can command the thermostat, but probably not get temps and humidity back. I'm not an ITTT user, so maybe others can chime in of ITTT and 2 way communication with the ISY.. I would contact Caleo through "Contact us" on their site, and request: Their newsletter ITTT configuration documentation Do they have a local REST api that you can use from the ISY, Tell them that competition like Venstar works with the ISY this way over local lan with wifi I suggest getting started this way and then post more when you have more info back from Caleo. It sure is priced right! Paul
francoislegacy Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 I just sent them an email. We'll see.
