Unable to connect to device

Hi-

I've been getting an error with my ISY setup, and I'm having trouble figuring out how to troubleshoot. Here's what's happening. When I open the ISY application on the PC, I get an error stating that it cannot connect to one of my devices. The device will show up with the red exclamation point next to it on the device table. Using the MobiLinc Pro app on my phone, I can send a command to the device that the ISY can't connect to, and I send it a command (typically an ON or OFF). Once I do that, the ISY appears to be able to connect to the device in question.

Any hints on how I could troubleshoot the connection issue to try to resolve it?

Thanks.

Hi Michel-

The device is an in line switch (2475SDB) Dual Band InlineLinc On/Off Switch v.43. I've got a bathroom exhaust fan connected to it.

Thanks.

Right click on the device, select Restore Device. When that's done, right click and select Write Updates to Device. What's the result?

Thanks for the reply. I tried your suggestion....

When I launched the ISY interface, the device came up with the same error. I tried to restore device, followed by write updates to device with no change. I launched the MobiLinc app on my cell, and gave a command to turn on the device. It responded, and the status changed in the ISY app from the red exclamation point to the usual icon. I repeated the restore device command, followed by write updates to device. No change observed.

I closed the ISY interface on my PC, and launched it again. After I logged in, I did not get the error stating that it could not communicate with the device in question. It appears that the device can be reached by the ISY. Since this is an intermittent problem, I'll check again tomorrow and report back.

Thanks for your help.
