First i started seeing some strange bogus Zwave devices that i do not have then I kept getting a explanation mark with "cant communicate with my outdoor z wave plug and now with my termostat it also has "!".

Heal Zwave does not help. thermostat is and always was 20' away from ISY in the line of sight, did not have problems before.

Very frustrating. Btw I'm on ver. 5.02

Alpha code often has issues that will cause unexpected problems. I don't advise anyone try alpha code on systems that you depend on.

Bogus devices sometimes show up (devices sometimes send errant notifications - ISY sees them and creates a node to represent it... Annoying I agree, but not really ISYs fault). Bogus devices are unrelated to the inability to communicate though.

Do you use an external antenna? If so, I advise switching back to the internal (power cycling the ISY is necessary when you switch) and trying then. Personally, I see better communication using the internal patch antenna (external ones tens to be *very* directional).

Hi.

It turned out to be the thermostat fault. It's a Honeywell TH8320ZW and it looks like the inside ZW module makes a poor contact. Took the front off, gave it a little squeeze, put it back together and all is good, with thermostat anyway.
