Differentiating between Echos

Featured Replies

All my Echo devices are location sensitive. All it requires is multiple accounts, currently limited to five and different wake words of which there are only three.

Do you need multiple Amazon accounts for multiple Echo or Dots, or multiple Portal accounts? Or both? I am OK with creating multiple accounts in the ISY Portal but not maple Amazon accounts! I am still waiting for my Dots, so I haven't tried it yet but need to figure out how it will work and the Wiki is unclear to me on this point..

Cheers,

Alex

Do you lose the shared shopping list and to-do list across your Echoes/Dots? Do you have to duplicate all of your IFTTT recipes across Echoes? Do you lose Prime Music streaming on the non-Prime Amazon accounts?

Shopping lists are saved only to the account in use, so are alarms and timers. Prime music is not available, even from linked accounts.
