All I got to say is I love the enterprising soul who came out with the idea. Good on him for thinking of a way to make some money while offering something usable for those of us that have a Echo.

I really can't fault the guy for the price given I am sure these are small runs and the reality is its a solid piece of metal and not some cheap aszz plastic that I am sure someone will come out with.

I can't really hate to be honest . . .

:)  Congrats to the creator of this.   However, I think I can do pretty much the same with an angle bracket from the hardware store, a bit of black paint, and a black wire tie... for less than 2 dollars!  (and it wouldn't even look to much different!)

Good idea to get Echo off the cabinet but I agree w/ high priced and floating wall bracket would do same for less (maybe not as secure though.)

I agree that $30 seems a bit steep for what it is but I bet this guy is worried about recovering his tooling costs and the price will drop after that is taken care of.  I have seen many things that were much farther from a realistic price than this.  If I wanted to wall mount my Echo, I think I would order one of these even at this price point.  Based on the recent flood of Echo accessories coming on the market, I suspect it won't be long before this has some competition to chase the price down.

If it comes with a Lamborghini, then I'll buy your entire stock. Wording is everything B)

Thought this was another freakin April fools post  :x ,  But I like!

Although the Echo Quick start Guide states "Echo works best when placed in a  central location, at least eight inches from any walls"

LOL, I have no words . . .

For the record my Echo is not in an ideal location on my communications desk. As it sits in the corner and the other side of the wall is my refrigerator and when the compressor kicks in its like listening to a freaking bulldozer!

Regardless, Alexa pretty much hears me 90% of the time even with the huge ambient noise . . . I believe with the addition of a few Dots it won't really matter when they are in the living room, basement, and in the master bedroom.

An Echandelier would fill the room with sound and respond to a voice from nearly anywhere in the vicinity B)

The Echandelier reminds me of a previous thought of ceiling-mounting a Dot. I would think a Dot would work nicely mounted to a 4" round blanking plate over a standard round junction box containing the power supply. Has anyone tried this yet? I will probably give it a shot when my remodeling commences.

I think that's a fantastic idea for the whole stealth look for sure.

For me looks are very important so it would pain me to paint the Dot but would probably purchase some speaker mesh that could be painted to match the cover plate and decor of the room while the Dot was hidden underneath.

Using speaker cloth is a much cleaner look and offers almost no hindrance to the microphones ability to speak and be heard. For me it would be installing the Dot in the ceiling as central as possible for the best coverage.

But trying to balance the over all look and feel . . .
