ISY994i case and mounting holes

Dear Michel,

 

Someone may have already commented on this. If so, I will add my two cents.

 

I finally got around to updating my second ISY (updating from a 99 to a 994) and this second upgrade has reminded me of a hassle I faced with the first upgrade and now have to face it again.

 

The spacing between the mounting holes on the case is wider on the 994 than it is on the 99, What should be an easy, drop in replacement is much more difficult because the mounting screws on the wall have to be moved. It was hard enough to get them spaced correctly the first time. I don't look forward to having to do it again.

 

I cannot think of any good reason why the spacing should be changed. For future models, please do not change the spacing between mounting holes.
