One button on an 8 button switch doesn't work properly

Recommended Posts

Hi gang,

I have an 8 button controller where the E button is acting strangely. The LED turns on and off as expected with keypresses, however, the ISY only registers Dim or Bright (i.e., when I press and hold the button), and does not respond to On, Off, Fast On, or Fast Off. I confirmed this with the diagnostics Event Viewer on Level 2. Only a press and hold generates entries in the Event Viewer window. I have tried a factory reset.

Any ideas?

Cheers!

This is becoming an epidemic! I believe this is the 3rd post that I have seen in the last couple of days with this similar issue...

Wish I knew what the fix was...sorry I don't, but hopefully someone does.

to_lighter,

Are you sure you do not have it on toggle or mutex mode?

If you are still having problems, please post to this topic

http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... 5364#15364 before getting a replacement.

With kind regards,

Michel

Try a "Restore Device" on the problem KeypadLinc.

Thanks Mike,

I tried restore, factory reset, removed the device then reinstalled, restored the PLM, no dice.

Cheers!

Hi Michel,

It is in toggle mode (toggle on only). It is also in mutually exclusive mode with 5 other buttons, but when I took it out of the mutually exclusive set, it still didn't work. Only Dim/Bright works, no On/Off/Fast On/Fast Off. The LED light does work properly (i.e. it behaves as it is supposed to as part of the mutually exclusive set, and turns on when pressed).

Cheers!
