I would like to know what features are most wanted to be added.  I can not guarantee that I can accomplish the task, but I will do my best.  A lot of this is still new and takes a lot of research before I can begin work.  If you have a suggestion that is not listed just post it in the comments.

I'd like to have folders or "areas/rooms" under a profile. I group my scenes so it's easy to see only the ones in the room I am in.

 

Maybe you could add Elk support. Hint hint.

Here are my feature requests....

 

Ability to hide devices.

I have many programs, scenes and variables that I *never* want to see or should ever modify in any way (especially some variables that track under program control). I want to be able to suppress them.

 

I also echo that the config should save to the Google account. So, configuring one device should effectively sync to other devices using the same Google account. It's getting painful to set favorites... :) Implement 'Backup to Google Drive' and 'Restore from Google Drive'. (Of course - keep the encryption in the backup!)

 

Folders! Bring in the ISY folders.... With lots of devices and scenes, these are a logical expression of structure for most of us. This makes it easier to navigate devices and scenes. Remember, folders should have the ability to be hidden in the UI.

 

Elk. Even though I put out my own app for Elk, I yearn for a single app to rule them all.

 

Expose intents - so Tasker (especially) can trigger programs, set variables and turn scenes and devices on and off.

 

Dare I say, cameras? This is a big one. Maybe see if you can implement tight integration with Tinycam to be able to overlay a camera live image and have on screen controls for select devices in the room.

 

I think that's it. Not too much!

When you get to the point where you can start working on backups, two features are requested. Backups AND synchronization.

 

A Backup, where a complete archive of the data is sent to a location so it can later be restored.

 

Synchronization, where other devices will obtain the data from a primary device. There are several methodologies to push or pull data and I'll try to document my ideas for you before you get started.

Yes. That's why I'm asking for that check box. I have scenes that have 3 controllers and 12 resonpders. The checkbox would eliminate the need to turn off all the resonpders.

 

In other words, the checkbox would indicate to only use the RED items to calculate the on level.

I'd like to see full support of the zcombo smoke/CO. As of right now it only shows the Smoke portion of it. Thanks.

How about adding the ability to put variables on the home page? Also declare a variable as a boolean so it can be toggled on/off?

If allowing variables as a boolean toggle, I'd also like a variable to be able to be represented as a dimmable device. Set the max and min values allowable, and let a slider adjust between the two extremes....

Interesting, but does this belong in Agave at the remote end?

 

How would you use that?

Here is an example I would use a lot...

 

Setting a timer for actions, but the timer is not necessarily a fixed amount of time. Arm the alarm in 10 mins, turn the basement light on for 60 mins - but instead of having fixed value for time we would have a variable. Adjust it from zero to a chosen value and have a program wake up, perform the desired action and tick down the value one value each minute (so we could see the remaining time in Agave).

 

Yes, expressing a variable as a number allows this (I use it now) - but it would be cool to have a slider that I could use to adjust the value from 0 to some max.... Then have ISY tick the value down (bookending it with an action). Much more friendly for the user...

 

I sure there are many other uses!

When I first read you explanation it sounded like you were using it for tasker but then realised ISY is still the "control centre", and the slider in Agave would be a pseudodevice control for the variable in ISY.

 

Cool idea... The start of a real control panel for ISY.

 

. . Agave control panels in every room are coming!

. . . . ..... (Control4 eat.. um... our dust)

With 48 Devices, 18 Controllers, 47 Scenes......

 

1.  Really need Rooms.  Too much stuff here.

 

2.  All lists for choosing Devices, etc. should be alpha ordered.  Spent lots of time carefully naming everything so that it sorts by room, etc.  Includes list boxes in Scenes.  I could even live without Rooms if sorting was handled in this fashion.

 

3.  HOME screen ability to customize order nice.  However, I spent so much time naming everything, having to rename to everything to fit in a 9 character window is painful.  There just seems to be available real estate in current boxes, but..... 

 

.......just a single column with many rows on a screen (height as small as possible) would give the length needed.

 

Just a thought.

 

Liking the App.  Just started playing today.

Just installed the app so pretty new to its features and capabilities. Definitely what I've been looking for since switching to Android. Here are my votes for features:

 

1 - ability to pin a device/scene/program to the Android home screen. Looking for one button push for a small number of activities that I use regularly

2 - folders or rooms. preference is for folders fromm ISY so I don't have to implement separately in the client app. Ability to create folders in favorites on the client will also be helpful. 

3 - ability to disable the Agave service running notification (I have to disable all notifications from Agave on my Microsoft Band to keep it from continuously updating; assuming there may be some scenarios where there is an Agave notification I'd like to get on my Band)

 

Thanks for the great app and seeking input.
