CompKing Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 My system today after a reboot is now showing continuous entries in the event log of random activity, and "system busy" status. There is no IR source present which would cause this. Nothing new on the device front. The only change I had made was to activate the WB module. Ever seen this before? 2009/01/07 18:40:04 : [ IR] 0292 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:04 : [ A 8A B0 1] OL 76 2009/01/07 18:40:04 : [ IR] 0154 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:05 : [ IR] 028A Press 2009/01/07 18:40:05 : [ IR] 02CA Press 2009/01/07 18:40:05 : [ IR] 0255 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:05 : [ A 8A B0 1] RR 26 2009/01/07 18:40:05 : [ IR] 0295 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:05 : [ 6 D5 D8 1] ST 0 2009/01/07 18:40:06 : [ IR] 0095 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:07 : [ IR] 02D5 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:07 : [ IR] 0125 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:07 : [ IR] 01D2 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:08 : [ IR] 0156 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:08 : [ IR] 0155 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:08 : [ IR] 0145 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:09 : [ 6 D5 D8 1] OL 102 2009/01/07 18:40:09 : [ IR] 0155 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:09 : [ IR] 02D5 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:09 : [ 6 D5 D8 1] RR 0 2009/01/07 18:40:10 : [ IR] 02AD Press 2009/01/07 18:40:10 : [ IR] 0154 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:10 : [ IR] 0145 Press 2009/01/07 18:40:11 : [ A AD 1 1] ST 0 2009/01/07 18:40:12 : [ IR] 022A Press 2009/01/07 18:40:12 : [ IR] 02A5 Press
Zellarman Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 bright sunlight and plasma or LCD TV's can all cause IR interference, is yyur ISY reasonably isolated from all?
Michel Kohanim Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Hi CompKing, Yes, I have scene this and, as Zellarman suggests, it has to do with the IR sensor being close to Plasma TV. Please do keep me posted. With kind regards, Michel
CompKing Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 Funny enough my Plasma wasn't ever on when I noticed this. In the end I did up doing a factory restore, and relocated the ISY-99. All seems well.
CompKing Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 After spending a little more time to isolate the problem in the original location, I found out it was my Roomba iRobot docking station which was sending IR signals to the vacuum to tell it to come home. Guess it was lonely and had to talk to my ISY since my vacuum wasn't listening. lol. Perhaps too many gadgets.
Michel Kohanim Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 CompKing! I just had to post because you just made my day .... after a LOOOONG day, I needed this laugh! LOL.
