ronbo Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Michel, I too would be interested in any update on the Honeywell Vista Security control. If it looks like this is something that UD is not going to do, then I might be motivated to do something with the AD2USB and the Network Module. Not looking to invest that time if UD is going to integrate Honeywell Vista Security. (Mostly because I know you'll do a better job ) Thanks Ron
xlurkr Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Hello me23, Yes, absolutely. Currently working on ELK and then DSC and Honeywell. With kind regards, Michel I just saw this. Is HAI in there anywhere? -Tom
Michel Kohanim Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Hi Tom, Yes, it is but I just cannot give you an ETA. With kind regards, Michel
ronbo Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 MICHEL, can you make any comments about how the Honeywell Vista will be implemented. I guess specifically I'm asking what hardware would you use to implement it
Michel Kohanim Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Hi ronbo, I do not have a solid answer at this point. I am sorry. With kind regards, Michel
jweek Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 does anyone have one of these? http://www.security.honeywell.com/hsc/products/keypad/gr/ad/317517.html
gatchel Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 The more time spent in the forums spending time answering threads like this, the less time spent coding...
ronbo Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 @jweek, I am a alarm installer, and I just played with one of these today. It very well my provide a way to interface the ISY, as this keypad has a web server that allows control of the system. I will be experimenting with it some more over the next week. Ron
tomcikny Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Did you try this Honeywell Touxedo touch screen?
PigNib Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I just ordered a 994i/IR and already have an ad2usb/serial adapter. This device: http://www.autelis.com/universal-rs232- ... e-isy.html Looks like a self-contained trinket that will parse the serial data and update up to 50 ISY variables based on the ad2usb output. Not a perfect solution, but it looks to bridge the gap for my uses until something else comes along. As others have mentioned it's possible to do the same job as this box with a little parsing and some REST commands, but I like the idea of this device since it doesn't require a PC and no one has yet supplied, that I know of, the code and instructions to do the same thing in Linux. I may try to do just that once I get a raspberry pi, until then I just wanna play with my new toys when they arrive!

trocks797 Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Just about to puchase my ISY994i and extremely excited to finally have a solid Insteon system. Support for my Honeywell system would GREATLY be appreciated. We have their newest system, the 21ip, with built in ICM. Any word as of late on integration with the ISY994i? Thanks so much. Tyler.
Michel Kohanim Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Hi Tyler, Unfortunately not yet but definitely on our roadmap. With kind regards, Michel
JCBond Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 I was wondering if support for Honeywell panels could come from converters like this one: Nu Tech AD2USB http://www.nutech.com/online-store/35.html I would love to be able to control my alarm panel from the ISY, but more importanlty I would like to triger events on the ISY based on alarm status, and alarm conditions.
Michel Kohanim Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Hi JCBond, It could. Currently we are designing a generic interface for external devices. Very much like variables but with more well defined behavior. With kind regards, Michel
bilbaomtl Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Hi, I just bought a isy994i and i have a ademco vista 15p any developpement on the subject. My goal is to simulate the panel (arm/disarm) and trigger event from door open... Thanks for your help. Alexandre
johnstonsean Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I have a vista 20p working with my isy994i. I use an IOLinc as a key switch to arm and and disarm. For status I use an X10 PSC05 to send x10 commands from the Ademco panel. I have the panel programmed to send different x10 commands for disarm, arm away, arm stay, alarm, and delayed entry. Then there is a series of programs in the isy that sets a state variable based on the x10 command received.
bilbaomtl Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Thk Il keep you inform on my progress. It's give me a nice starting. Envoyé de mon C6906 en utilisant Tapatalk
kaphely Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Just wanted to get notified about activity on this thread as I am really interested in controlling my Vista 15P with my Isy. I looked at the Tuxedo touch but it is a bit pricey (400$+). I also looked at the Envisalink EVL-3 which seems to be missing some polishing to make it a good product. I find the web interface a bit ugly and also, it seems complicated to control it locally without going through their servers. I also read threads about some troubles going off on the panel every time a firmware update is being pushed and I want to avoid getting annoyances like that. As for X-10, it seems to be complicated finding those X10 transformers plus it would only get me status but no control. Still waiting to find the perfect solution, so if anybody has new ideas, I'll be glad to hear them!
io_guy Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 The EVL3 is a fantastic device. They have now released their API to support Honeywell, previously only DSC. When i get a little time i will add support to DSCLink. Targeting end of 2013. Since I don't use Honeywell I'll need a beta tester or two if anyone is interested. I'd be looking for them to test the program and be able to use something like putty to connect to the EVL3 and issue commands.
mdonato Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 io_guy, which pieces are you looking for to do the beta? I have a Vista21IP, and the ISY 994. Are you referring to controlling the Vista via the ISY (through an intermediary I assume)? if yes, i'd be happy to give it a whirl. Thanks, -Mike

I have a Honeywell Ademco Vista 20P, and I'd be glad to help.
io_guy Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 mdonato, deza, No update, I haven't started coding this since I got no responses for testing. The program would work similar to DSCLink. viewforum.php?f=58 You would need a computer (most of us use Raspberry Pis or Windows) to talk between the 2 devices. My program would require an EVL3, Honeywell's APIs are a complete mess so I'd stick with Eyez-On's. This means only systems supported by the EVL3 would be supported. If you're interested, pick up an EVL and install. I would then grab a data dump of what the EVL sends out and we'd be off to the races. To do this you'd connect to the EVL with something like putty.
