someguy Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I had some posts that I cannot find. Must have been three to five years ago.
Teken Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Since the two time migration you will need to know URL or accept some of it has been lost. ☹️️ ========================= The highest calling in life is to serve ones country faithfully - Teach others what can be. someguy Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 two time migration? what and when was that?
Teken Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 two time migration? what and when was that? The forum was migrated early in the days from one to another about 3-4 years ago? Then, sometime this year UDI attempted to use a new forum software platform which was the second migration. But found like many others the whole look and feel was truly sh^ty. They rolled back from the new format and back to the one you see now. Anything that was created or posted during that period was deleted and not recoverable. For the first migration those older threads are in a *Archived* state so you can view them but can not reply. To clarify my initial reply you would have needed to be subscribed, participated, or had a link to a topic of interest. Using the search feature will not bring it up as I assume the previous links have been disassociated. Make sense?
Michel Kohanim Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Hi someguy, Apart from the 7 days of migration where some of the posts were unfortunately lost, the only other possibility is that some of the posts may have been archived. Apart from that, everything should be there. With kind regards, Michel
someguy Posted October 14, 2016 Author Posted October 14, 2016 do I need to do something different to search the archived posts?
Michel Kohanim Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Hi someguy, No, unfortunately they do not show up unless you know the full URL. With kind regards, Michel
