milhouse Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Hi, I'm having trouble adding a mMcro on/off to my ISY. Before I pull my hair out, I can't tell if its a load issue or a communication issue, so any help would be appreciated. FWIW, its connected to two sconces, each with 2 30 Watt Edison Bulbs (non-LED) for a total of 120 Watts. They respond correctly to physically pressing the On Off buttons. Standard linking (Selecting Add Device and holding the set button 3-5 seconds) produces beeps from the module, but there is nothing in the software that indicates it found it. Adding by address usually causes the module to beep a few times like its communicating, but then I get the following errors (and the Level 3 Log is below): Thanks in advance... Michel Kohanim Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Hi milhouse, The device is sending Nacks. It doesn't like to respond to querying the engine version. Please factory reset and try again. If that does not help, make sure you don't have any older Access Points and SignaLincs and move the PLM to a different outlet. If that also doesn't help, then the issue is most probably defective switch. With kind regards, Michel
milhouse Posted December 16, 2016 Author Posted December 16, 2016 Thanks. The problem turned out to be the signal. I added a range extender and now no issues.
