I have two questions I just can't seem to figure out. I would love for someone to explain it to me like I am eleven years old. 

 

1. Is there a way that I can use my ISY that is connected to my ELK to set my Nest to Eco mode if someone leaves a door or window open for 30 minutes?

 

2. We also have Lutron shades and drapes in the house. I would love to have the Elk send a command through the ISY to the portal so that I can trigger an IFTTT event. So that if I have an opening like a door or window open that has a shade or drape on it - it would open the window covering based on the state of the contact on the elk. 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Brad,

 

1. Does ELK already talk to NEST? If not, you would need an intermediary such as Polyglot (http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/18655-polyglot-nest-nodeserver/)

2. Why would you need to use IFTTT? You can already do that with the Network Module which comes with ISY Portal: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-994i_Series_INSTEON:Networking:Network_Resources#Shades
