grossmd Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 Has anyone had any luck with the ge/jasco hinge pin smart door sensor? My ISY994i recognizes it but doesn't change staus when switch is activated. jmwhite5 Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 I don't have the hinge sensor, but I have a regular GE switch and I found that I couldn't get it to be a controller for a scene. However, I was able to workaround the issue by creating a program that monitors the status of the switch and triggers the scene accordingly (in the THEN and ELSE clauses). Clumsy but it works well enough. You might be able to do the same with the hinge sensor.

RB3 Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 I thought twice about posting in an old thread, but this is still the issue I am having and seems to be the most relevant thread as my GE hinge pin doesn't change states, only showing ON, even in version 5.0.15A. Has anyone else had any luck getting this device working? I am willing to donate mine as a test subject if UD would like (zw6301) as it is useless to me otherwise. Let me know....

When I use the activity log the ISY does show the signal recurved but doesn’t change the status of device. Too bad because it’s a nice, subtle design that requires no real installation. 1

In my latest attempt, I tried changing parameter 20 (Open/Close Report Method) from the default value of 1 (Notification) to 2 (Basic Set) to 3 (Basic Report). None shows a status change in the admin console. There are different reports in the Event Viewer.
