Power outage. MobiLinc not completely syncing now...

We had a power outage this past weekend and when the power came back on, I had a couple of first generation Insteon keypads that required a reset to get them functioning again. My MobiLinc app isn't working quite right either. I am able to control devices and scenes, but the device status doesn't appear correct on MobiLinc.

After the power outage, I reset the ISY 994i by removing power from it and the PLM for several seconds to make sure I had a clean boot.

Any ideas what might be going on with MobiLinc? Obviously, I'm inclined to think it's something with the ISY or the PLM since the issue started with the power outage.

Hi David

It doesn't say for sure in your write up, does the device status show correctly in the admin console? If you turn devices on and off the admin console updates appropriately?

Correct. The devices are controllable via the admin console and update correctly.

It was right to suspect the PLM, but since everything is working in the admin console, that rules the PLM out as a problem.

I did a complete re-sync on MobiLinc ("download all"), but it still doesn't show the correct device status.

I had that happen some time ago. I had to delete my MobiLinc account and reenter it. It would await insteonnut before taking that step.

Just got home and I was wrong about the admin console. The status on the admin console is NOT correct. If I query a device, it will correct the status.

Have I got a setting that's gone awry?

Hi David,

MobiLinc gets its status from the ISY the same way the Admin Console does. These two should be in sync. So the question is why the ISY doesn't have the correct status. The power outage could have thrown things out of sync until the ISY has a chance to query all items or you manually query all your items to pull in current status. Once that happens, make sure the turning a switch on/off physically propagates the status back to the ISY/Admin Console/MobiLinc. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad or getting here, PLM.

Turning a device on or off via the admin console will properly control the device and report the correct status. I get the same proper results using MobiLinc.

If I use an Insteon wall switch to turn on a lamp, the lamp will turn on, but the status on the admin console and MobiLinc is incorrect.

Well, I feel kinda stupid. I just did a PLM restore and everything seems to be ok now. Don't know why I didn't think of that before, but it seems to have done the trick.
