Danalock v3

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience or luck in paring a Danalock, specifically the v3 model with their ISY994?  Neither device ever shows signs of communication with each other during the linking/add process.  I have no other ZWave devices to verify against unfortunately.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure you have the lock within 3 feet of the ISY when pairing. If you can get it paired, you still may need additional zwave devices to get the signal to your lock. Many people like the aeotec siren

Thanks for the tip, I wasn't sure if I would need additional devices, I'll take a look at that siren.  I had the lock placed right next to the ISY during pairing attempts without any luck.

Hmm, I did not.  This is my first attempt at using ZWave at all.  I've just now been reading some comments about doing the exclusion first, even on new devices.  I'll give it a try, thanks for the advice!

I'm starting to think the z-wave of this particular lock is broken or that there's something up with this model.  Still absolutely no luck in getting communication between the lock and the ISY.  I've ruled-out the ISY by adding a z-wave plug-in appliance module and a z-wave plug-in dimmer which are both working as expected and had no trouble pairing.

I saw that option was enabled by default but I tried it both disabled and enabled (again) to be sure.  No success.

Thought I should follow-up for anyone with the same issue...

My vendor neglected to mention to me that there are TWO versions of this lock, one with Z-wave and one without.  The app is janky and makes no notice of which lock you actually have.  It will just spin when attempting to pair with Z-wave.  I had the lock without. :P
