Mini Remote Linking

I have an Insteon Mini Remote 2342-2. The device address is worn off the back making it barely readable. I am wanting to link the remote to my ISY but don't know how to add it without being able to read  the device address. Any Ideas?

Hi and welcome to the UDI formums!

 

You can try the Start Linking option at the top of the Link Management Menu, and then put the remotelinc in linking mode. I've not specifically tried that with a remotelinc, but it wouldn't take long to find out if it works.

Ok I will try that. I was under the impression that all RF devices like Remotes and Motion Sensors, had to be added manually?

Well you have to wake them up from their power saving mode.

Part of the process is manually activating the Link Push Button.

  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
