tazman75 Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 I noticed to make any changes with Google Home I need to completely unlink the Universal devices plug in from Google Home, re-add the devices, and then re-associate the devices. This gets to be pretty problematic if you have many devices. Google supports a refresh request via request Sync, https://developers.google.com/actions/smarthome/create-app#request-sync . Is this a feature that universal is working on? Thanks, -Tom Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Tom, Thank you for the feedback. We'll take a look. With kind regards, Michel 3 Quote
DetroitEE Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 (edited) +1 for this request. I like to use Google Home's rooms to manage my light groups rather than ISY scenes, so it's a huge pain to have to re-assign all the devices to their proper rooms every time I make a change. Amazing. P.S. I have my Samsung washer and dryer connected to GH but have no clue what use / benefit this gives 1 Quote

So "OK Google, sync my Universal Devices" if you want. 1 Quote

lilyoyo1 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Indeed very useful if I were to do the laundry at home ...... I think it's more of a "look at what I can do" gimmick. Just don't see a real need for it to be honest. I do like the washer on top though. That's the only good part about it Quote

I do like the washer on top though. That's the only good part about itDoes it at least alert the user when the cycle is done? Given how many people have asked and tried the same. I would hope the appliances would send the user a notification that it was done. I think the benefits to start, stop, pause a task would be for those who subscribe to ToU or demand response (DR) energy load shedding. I've seen a few members showing us crazy KWH costs that exceed $0.65 per KWH!! Edited December 12, 2017 by Teken Quote
lilyoyo1 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 It doesn't automatically alert to cycles being done. You can ask for that info but it won't do it on its own. The Samsung app also shows it being finished. I wouldnt mind that feature as its proactive instead of reactive. It's a new feature. Maybe in time things like that will be integrated Quote
