Brad Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 While reconfiguring some devices and playing around with the Alexa groups and routines, I noticed that 2 of my 3 ZWave devices are missing from the available devices dropdown list on the portal. They appear on the admin console and function properly. I need to add them back to Alexa and can't now. Am I missing a way to refresh the list? Sent from my HTC U11 using Tapatalk Quote
bmercier Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 What type of devices are they? Can you let me know what is the device address? Some device types are filtered. Quote
Brad Posted November 2, 2017 Author Posted November 2, 2017 (edited) The first device is a scene switch (dimming wall wart module) with address ZW002_1. The second is a thermostat with address ZW004_1. The thermostat had spokens for it at one time, but now it's completely gone. Edited November 2, 2017 by Brad Quote
Brad Posted November 2, 2017 Author Posted November 2, 2017 If that's the button with the double circular store that says Refresh when you hover over it, then yes. If there's another button/link, then I'm not seeing it. Sent from my HTC U11 using Tapatalk Quote
Brad Posted November 2, 2017 Author Posted November 2, 2017 (edited) Tried that. Event viewer showed success. Still missing from the portal device dropdown list. This is strange. The 3rd ZWave device I have that shows up in the list is a Go Control security panel. It's device address is ZW003_1. I'm wondering if this is an edge case bug where the first and last ZWave devices are overlooked. Edited November 2, 2017 by Brad Quote
stusviews Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Well, am I . I gave advice before thoroughly checking. You are correct. Z-Wave devices do not show up in the portal. A scene or program may be the solution. 1 Quote
bmercier Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Please try again. There was a bug introduced recently that is now fixed. Z-Wave devices should now appear correctly. Benoit 1 Quote
Brad Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Oh wow! You rock Benoit! Thank you very much. I deleted my previous post with additional details since you beat me to the Post button. I've been lurking for several years and am really impressed with the customer service and quick response. I'm a happy camper now. Quote

asbril Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 I need some help...... Before I read that others had the same problem with Devices I tried several solutions and ended up deleting all existing Devices from the Google Home connectivity. I also deleted Universal Devices from the Google Home App. When the Devices were showing again, I added a few of my Zwave devices again to the Portal Google Home connectivity and added Universal Devices again to the Google Home App.The new devices show in the Google Home App but when I ask Google Home to turn the specific light ON (with the chosen spoken word) I get error message that it can not control my device. However I do not have a problem with my Alexa setup. What can I do to make the Google Home work ? Thanks Quote

I see that you have only 3 devices for GH, and a lot more for Alexa. I see the device discovery for GH Worked, and I don't see any failed requests for any device actions Benoit Quote
asbril Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Hi Benoit... Bonsoir ! I only added 3 devices in GH because I wanted to try these first. These show in the GH App but I get systematically an error message "I do not know how to help with that" when I ask GH to turn on one of these devices. It used to work before. I rebooted my two GH's, I rebooted the ISY..... I will add more devices tomorrow and see if I have any luck with other devices. I will also try with a Scene. I will keep you informed. Quote

We did a factory reset on my Google Home (press button at back of Google Home till lights go full orange), and then follow the steps in the Google Home App to set up the Google Home device. After that, both Nest thermostats and my ISY devices work again with Google Home. If you have more than one Google Home device, before doing the factory reset on the first Google Home, make sure to disconnect power from your other Google Home device(s). When first Google Home factory reset is complete, then power the other and perform same factory reset. Edited November 5, 2017 by asbril 1 Quote
