jgcharlotte Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 I'd been looking for awhile for a simple, straightforward relay that I could just plug in and not have to build something. I don't know why this hasn't come up on my searches on Amazon before, but this guy fits the bill perfectly. Just plug it into an on/off module and I'm good to go! https://smile.amazon.com/Enclosed-AC-Protection-Bounce-Terminals/dp/B017743I7S/ref=pd_ybh_a_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=RK5ETSXY58WV2JYVTRRD

This led me to another one that could be used for HVAC sensing into an IOLinc. Dual 24vac/dc to dual dry contacts. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B60RZPA/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1
jgcharlotte Posted November 30, 2017 Author Posted November 30, 2017 Yeah, I've been thinking about doing that. I don't use Insteon thermostats on my units, I really don't trust them enough. I would probably just use an open/close sensor though. Seems like there should be a forum topic or section just for stuff like this. Running across something that others may find useful. It took me a long time to find the pressure sensitive mat, waterproof, with dry contact only, and inexpensive. That's why I posted it here a couple of days ago.

A new thread is a good idea and there is a thread for forum suggestions too. Do it!

I created a document several years ago with Various Insteon solutions I found. I haven't touched it in a long time, but was planning on adding the two items above. I seem to have missed your post about the pressure sensitive mat you found. Mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
