Kentinada Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 I'm trying to follow the instructions for migrating to the new ISY Smart Home Skill V3 for Echo. It says disable V2 skill which I did. But then it says go to the bottom of the Devices list and select Forget All. I do not have a Forget All option. I am running the latest version of Amazon Alexa on my iPhone. What now? Quote
Kentinada Posted January 24, 2018 Author Posted January 24, 2018 Found a way around it. There is no Forget All in the Alexa app but if I logged into alexa.amazon.com, there was a Forget All on the Devices screen. Hope that helps someone else and the wiki gets updated. 2 Quote
gdntx Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Thanks for posting - I also ran into the same thing. I had just asked her to forget devices and she acted like she did, but did not. A quick Google took me to the above web page and that worked just fine. Quote
ulrick65 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 It also appears there is duplicate line entries in the instructions. Not that steps 4 and 5 are repeated again as 6 and 7.. Instructions for Migrating to V3 Review the ISY Optimized for Smart Home V3 Changes To use V3, you first need to uninstall V2 : Login to the Echo App Click on the Smart Home menu item on the left navigation bar Click on Smart Home Skills Look for ISY Optimized for Smart Home and then click on the Disable button On « ISY Optimized for Smart Home», click on Disable, then « Disable skill ». Look for ISY Optimized for Smart Home V2 and then click on the Disable button On « ISY Optimized for Smart Home V2 », click on Disable, then « Disable skill ». Then you need to forget your existing devices: In the echo app, click on the Smart Home menu item on the left navigation bar Click on Devices Scroll to the bottom and click Forget All, then Forget NOTE : Your devices will be rediscovered by the V3 skill Continue with Instructions to Enable the V3 skill in the echo app below 1 Quote
BamBamF16 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 I do not have a Forget All button anywhere in the app. Quote
stusviews Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Only the computer app has Forget All. The smartphone app does not. Quote
BamBamF16 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Sorry. I misinterpret app. To me that is a stand alone thing not a web page. My bad. I finally found it. Thanks for your help. Jeff Quote
rlanza1054 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Hi all, Ok, I followed all the instructions to the letter! I disabled V2 and then I used a pc and went to alexa.amazon.com and did the 'Forget all Devices'! Then I enabled V3 and ran Discover All Devices. All devices not part of ISY (Universal Devices) were found but nothing I had set in my ISY Portal? Now not is there and of course means I am longer working. So what did I do wrong? Question: In ISY Portal under Amazon Echo I have the button on the extreme right that is labeled 'Live Update' is colored Green with a "check market! I have always assumed that is the correct setting. So what else do I need to do! Help please! Thank you! Rob Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk Quote

rlanza1054 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Hi Rob, Please send your uuid to support@universal-devices.com with a link to your post. With kind regards, Michel I actually think I discovered the problem! Strange as it may be! Its seems all my devices were discovered but they had all been added to 'SCENES'! I went back to ISY Portal and sure enough there is a field that I never noticed before. At the top row where the labels are shown so that you know what you are seeing in that column. The field is labeled: ISY CAT (which I believe means Category) And next to that the label says: Alexa CAT (which I believe means Category) Everything in the Alexa Catagory is set to SCENE! I manually altered one or two devices to LIGHT and SWITCH. I then re-ran Discover All Devices in the Alexa app (I'm on Android). Sure enough those two devices now showed up and were removed from the SCENE section (Category). But to aid you here is my UID: Whoops! I'll send it to support as you requested! Thanks! upstatemike Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 I just tried to follow the update instructions for V3 and am stuck on the first step. I cannot disable any older version of the ISY skill because none are included in my list of skills. The devices exist, and they respond fine when I ask Alexa to control them but the skill is nowhere to be found. The Alexa App (PC version) says I have 20 active skills and that matches the count in the list presented. None of them are ISY yet the ISY commands function fine. What do I do now? Quote
stusviews Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Select Skills, search for ISY. Select ISY Optimized for Smart Home V2. The disable option will appear. Don't forget to Forget All. Quote
upstatemike Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 (edited) I had to first enable it and then disable it again... don't know why it was working if it wasn't enabled but in any case everything went smoothly after that. Edited February 17, 2018 by upstatemike Quote

All the 'Devices' now are located under 'Scenes'!Under version 3 they implemented Categories it seems. So there is an ISY and an Alexa Catagory. When we created a particular setup of a module we picked 'Scene' and not the actual 'Device'. See if this helps you. RobSent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk Quote
