macjeff Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 This may be part of the issue with ecobee shuffling things around but I just upgraded to 0.9.4 and I have all my nodes listed in the log as Stale Node. Then node already exists. Its probably figuring things out and I need to give it some time but here are the logs 2018-02-04 14:36:37 - ISY Warning: Stale node exist on the ISY (n001_ecobee1_sen10)2018-02-04 14:36:37 - ISY Warning: Stale node exist on the ISY (n001_ecobee1_sen3)2018-02-04 14:36:37 - ISY Warning: Stale node exist on the ISY (n001_ecobee1_sen4)2018-02-04 14:36:37 - ISY Warning: Stale node exist on the ISY (n001_ecobee1_sen5)2018-02-04 14:36:37 - ISY Warning: Stale node exist on the ISY (n001_ecobee1_sen6)2018-02-04 14:36:37 - ISY Warning: Stale node exist on the ISY (n001_ecobee1_sen7)2018-02-04 14:36:37 - ISY Warning: Stale node exist on the ISY (n001_ecobee1_sen8)2018-02-04 14:36:37 - ISY Warning: Stale node exist on the ISY (n001_ecobee1_sen9)2018-02-04 14:36:38 - ISY Warning: Stale node exist on the ISY (n001_ecobee2_sen3)2018-02-04 14:36:38 - ISY Warning: Stale node exist on the ISY (n001_ecobee2_sen4)2018-02-04 14:36:38 - ISY Warning: Stale node exist on the ISY (n001_ecobee2_sen5)2018-02-04 14:38:40 - ISY Error: Status 400 (NODE_ALREADY_EXISTS): ns/1/nodes/n001_ecobee1/add/EcobeeF?primary=n001_ecobee1&name=Ecobee&nls=1402018-02-04 14:38:40 - ISY Error: Status 400 (NODE_ALREADY_EXISTS): ns/1/nodes/n001_ecobee1_sen1/add/EcobeeSensorF?primary=n001_ecobee1&name=Sensor 1&nls=140ES2018-02-04 14:38:40 - ISY Error: Status 400 (NODE_ALREADY_EXISTS): ns/1/nodes/n001_ecobee1_sen2/add/EcobeeSensorF?primary=n001_ecobee1&name=Sensor 2&nls=140ES2018-02-04 14:38:40 - ISY Error: Status 400 (NODE_ALREADY_EXISTS): ns/1/nodes/n001_ecobee1_wea1/add/EcobeeWeatherF?primary=n001_ecobee1&name=Current Weather&nls=140EW2018-02-04 14:38:40 - ISY Error: Status 400 (NODE_ALREADY_EXISTS): ns/1/nodes/n001_ecobee1_wea2/add/EcobeeWeatherF?primary=n001_ecobee1&name=Forecast1&nls=140EW2018-02-04 14:38:40 - ISY Error: Status 400 (NODE_ALREADY_EXISTS): ns/1/nodes/n001_ecobee1_wea3/add/EcobeeWeatherF?primary=n001_ecobee1&name=Forecast2&nls=140EW2018-02-04 14:38:40 - ISY Error: Status 400 (NODE_ALREADY_EXISTS): ns/1/nodes/n001_ecobee1_wea4/add/EcobeeWeatherF?primary=n001_ecobee1&name=Forecast3&nls=140EW2018-02-04 14:38:40 - ISY Error: Status 400 (NODE_ALREADY_EXISTS): ns/1/nodes/n001_ecobee1_wea5/add/EcobeeWeatherF?primary=n001_ecobee1&name=Forecast4&nls=140EW
io_guy Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Sorry, completely missed your post. There's nothing odd in your log. It's telling you sensors 3-10 don't exist. The already exists are no big deal.
macjeff Posted February 8, 2018 Author Posted February 8, 2018 But they do and show up in Ecobee. Jeff
macjeff Posted February 8, 2018 Author Posted February 8, 2018 I figured out the issue and I am volunteering to privately send you login info if that helps I have 3 ecobee units Ecobee 3 with 5 sensors Ecobee 4 with more than 5 sensors. Ecobee 2 (Known as the Ecobee Smart Thermosat) Does not support sensors I noticed that starting with version .94 and also on 95 ALL THREE thermostats are showing the data from the Smart Themostat. It did not support nodes which is why all my nodes were not working. I went into the admin console and verified that the three thermostats were labeled corectly. I removed the Smart Thermostat from my Ecobee account and INSTANTLY all my nodes came back into the ISY with all their data. I have stopped at that point but it seems to be the Ecobee 2 (smart thermostat) causing the issue. Everything works fine with it off my ecobee account but I cant control it from the Ecobee app anymore and wont get warning notices. Again, I would be happy to let you use my account to my ecobee or ISY (via PM) so you can take a look. Right now I left it offline so things are working. Bad part is I figured this out before you asked for the logs so if you still need them I can add it back and get the logs.
macjeff Posted February 8, 2018 Author Posted February 8, 2018 I just thought of something that would work. I can give you the code for the smart thermostat (see previous post) via PM and then you can add it to your ecobee account and delete it when done. I can go a week or so without it on my account.
io_guy Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 See the release notes from 0.9.3 - people with multiple ecobees need to go into NodeLink and re-save the stat id info.
macjeff Posted February 8, 2018 Author Posted February 8, 2018 Well I think I fixed it but can you direct me to .93 notes since all I see now is .95. Or maybe just tell me how to do that for next time. But here is what I did..... 1. Deleted Sunroom thermostat (ecobee 2) and left the other two. The other two started working. 2. Added sunroom back in and they stopped working again. 3. Deleted all three and added the first 2 back in. All working. 4. Added sunroom back in- all working So I must have done what you said by setting everything up but for next time what would be the quicker method? LOL And thanks!! Jeff
io_guy Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 In Nodelink, under each ecobee stat page, you need to set which thermostat to grab data from. This was reset on v0.9.3 onward.
macjeff Posted February 8, 2018 Author Posted February 8, 2018 I had tried that. But I think it was a simple mistake. I noticed they were all black so I changed them to the correct ones. BUT I did not restart nodelink or ISY after that. When I was adding new thermostats I found that to force a connect sometimes I had to restart nodelink. Maybe thats all I needed to do after resetting.
