Churning Compost

A lot of food and yard waste can be composted to make good, nourishing soil for the garden. Making it yourself takes very little effort, and requires a bit of churning of the collected material periodically to produce good quality compost.

An electric motor can be connected to a relay triggered by an I/O Linc to churn the compost when a certain temperature is attained in the collection. At least I think this is how one optimizes the cultivation of the material. The only thing any one in the household would then need to do would be to add new material periodically to the pile and remove the good compost.

This automation effort reduces the need to purchase and pick up ready made soil from the store, and increases the use of discarded material for creating useful soil on site.
