simplextech Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 bestbuy has better pricing on the "kit". https://www.bestbuy.com/site/philips-hue-white-color-ambiance-led-starter-kit-multicolor/6370363.p?skuId=6370363 The v2 hub is cheaper too. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/philips-hue-bridge-2nd-generation-white/4684500.p?skuId=4684500 They only have the "new" color bulbs on the site now and they're $90 for a 2 pack so $45 a bulb here. I've noticed the "new" bluetooth capable bulbs are more expensive so I watch for that and find the gen3 that are Zigbee only as I don't need/care about bluetooth.

If you use 25 units in your house you are already up to almost $2K. What bulbs are you referring to do it right? That's because you live in the wrong country. Lol. Most times you'll find hue on sale here on Amazon or BB for much less. Recently I purchased 2 for 35 each. I know there are nodeservers for other bulbs though I don't use any of them personally. I stick with hue as it's widely supported. Future proofing myself in a sense.. My comments in regards to buying non supported products isn't just bulbs but devices as well. Using the post for example, yes the op saves money on these devices but what good are they to be operated outside of the Isy? With the amount of sales that insteon has, eBay, and low cost zwave devices, it makes no sense
