someguy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I have been having problems with my weatherbug climate module: The initial location that I selected to get data from was doing fine for a couple of weeks and then it aparently was deactivated. Then I switched to another one and the data came up wrong. It was reading that the light was 7 when it was clearly about a 50 (from previous experience). I came home from work today and the outside lights were on, which is only the case when the light is less than 10 or so. I went to the weatherbug module and have selected five different locations and none of the data changes. to be more specific, my numbers read this: Temperature: 59.2 °F High Temperature: 68 °F Low Temperature: 51 °F Feels Like: 59 °F Temperature Rate: -2.3 °F Humidity: 64 % Humidity Rate: 3 Pressure: 30.16 mb Pressure Rate: 0.01 mb/h Dew Point: 47 °F Wind Speed: 7 mph Average Wind Speed: 6 mph Wind Direction: E Average Wind Direction: E Gust Speed: 19 mph Rain Today: 0 mm Light: 0 Light Rate: 0 WeatherBug™ RSS for any location that I set it to (and yes, I do press "save" and I have the polling interval set at five seconds. Is there a problem with the module or the data connection?
Sub-Routine Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Hi someguy, This is more than likely a problem with the data connection. First, WeatherBug has asked us that polling be set no lower than 60 seconds. The server only updates the data that often. The ISY programmers have allowed the use of more frequent updates with an eye towards the future. Stations do have different Light and other data. When changing stations this will have to be adjusted in your programs. Stations do come and go, the same as you may lose connection. If this happens during the night or over the weekend/holidays more than likely there will not be anyone available to reset. Keep in mind that most of these stations are schools or individuals. If the local server is down no data will be updated from any station. If there is a problem with the server you can see it using the Event Viewer or opening the Log file. Errors will be -140xxx. I have a Schedule that turns off most of our outside lights after sunrise even if the data says the Light is 0 for insurance. Rand
