We need to check that: Echo A uses Amazon account A, which is linked to ISY Portal user A, which has its preferred ISY set to ISY A. Echo B uses Amazon account B, which is linked to ISY Portal user B, which has its preferred ISY set to ISY B. Please write down for both locations: The Amazon account The ISY Portal user profile The UUID Instructions: Login to ISY Portal using either user profile. Go to "Users". Make sure that each user profile is mapped to the correct location's UUID. For both locations: Login to the echo app (https://alexa.amazon.com) using the location's Amazon account Go to Settings. Make sure that you see the current location's Echo device. Not the other location's echo. Go to Smart Home | Devices, click Forget all (At the bottom right) Go to Skills, find the "ISY Optimized for Smart Home V3". Click Disable, then Enable. When linking with ISY Portal, make sure to use the ISY Portal user profile for that location. When you discover devices, you should be getting the devices from the ISY related to the Portal user profile you just linked to. Tips for testing: In addition to testing with the echo itself, you can test using the Alexa app (iOS version, and possibly Mac as well). Go to Smart Home, find your device, and turn it on/off using the app. Benoit I would love for you to remote into my Mac. I will provide the credentials you will need to access both Amazon accounts. I have spent days on this and now I have lost practically all utility. I suspect you will be able to do in a few minutes that which we will continue to chase. If you are willing to do so, let me know hat you will need. Quote
smokegrub Posted August 23, 2018 Author Posted August 23, 2018 Now when I attempt to log into the Amazon account for Wolf Creek it logs into Chesapeake! This is becoming a maddening waste of time! Quote
apostolakisl Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 (edited) Seems like a flow chart diagram is warranted here. And in the wiki. I am in a similar situation with two ISY's. I did manage to get it all straight. While I'm only using Alexa at one of them, I'm using Agave at both. I had to have two user profiles and set one ISY as primary for one and the other profile as primary for the other ISY. I believe the Agave relationship with the portal is the same as the Alexa with regards to that. EDIT: Check that, I actually created two separate portal accounts. Perhaps I didn't need to do that. I appreciate your "jumping in". I did, to the best of my ability, what Benoit outlined above. Both portals show the devices for my Chesapeake Portal. When I try to log into the Amazon account for Wolf Creek using those credentials it opens the account for Wolf Creek! I see no way for a relative novice such as me to resolve this. I hope Benoit agrees to remote into my Mac and sorts this out. I was able to use one account at a time previously. Now, I have lost that ability. As bizarre as it may sound, the last time I talked to my wife (Chesapeake) she said she can control devices upstairs but not downstairs. Go figure. Quote
MWareman Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Your two ISY Portal user accounts both use the same email address. I’m pretty sure when you login you are only going to be using one ISY.The ISY Portal users must be separate email addresses - otherwise when you link your Portal to your Amazon account you won’t be sure which ISY Portal account you are connecting to? I just could not determine how to fix that. Michel was gracious enough to help and all is working. That only cost me about two days work! 1 Quote
