bgrubb1 Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 My ISY takes about a minute to load the admin console and 3 minutes to open the programs tab - if it opens I am on 5.0.13D with only polyglot (4 servers) and weatherflow node server running I do have GEM updating variables via chunk every 90 seconds diagnostics say I have plenty of memory (see below) I cant figure out what is causing the issue, in searching the forums it suggests factory reset / restore wont change anything. all was good on the 4XX branch, so Have been chasing nodeservers, but not sure what to try next. Probably 40 devices and 50 programs. any ideas please ?? ...Barry
larryllix Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 (edited) My Netbook, 2.0 GHz single core takes about four times as long as yours. This is based on amount of ISY programs, variables , NRs etc. and the speed of your CPU running the admin console. Mine has slowed down greatly running java apps and is almost too slow to load admin console at all. Total time to edit a program in admin console, about 8-10 minutes now. On a 2.8GHz 8 core CPU this takes about 1/4 that time for about 2-3 minutes total. Edited September 12, 2018 by larryllix

I just did a test on my 4GHz i7 4 core iMac, and got these load/startup times (over local 5GHz wireless): http - Admin Console - 15 seconds http - Program tab - 20 seconds https - Admin Console - 90 seconds https - Program tab - 30 seconds Interestingly, the last step in loading the Admin Console ("Refreshing Status") just takes a couple of seconds over http. I haven't added any Insteon or Z-Wave devices in quite a while. All my newer devices have been handled by either the Polyglot, Nodelink or WeatherFlow node servers. I don't know if that reduces the startup load on the ISY or not. I'm running the 5.0.13D firmware.

If you are running 4GHz you must be running some game based system with a fast GPU tie-in. My loads spend most of their time "Creating widgets for X". Only the last 5-10 seconds are shown as "loading the programs". I have about 300-500 programs, about 100 NRs, and 500 variables. Edited September 12, 2018 by larryllix
bgrubb1 Posted September 12, 2018 Author Posted September 12, 2018 how do you access the admin console with http ??

In the "Configuration | System" tab, I set the value for my "Http Port" as 80 (it might default to this, I don't recall). See screenshot. I use the ISY Launcher to select http, as described in this thread.
bgrubb1 Posted September 15, 2018 Author Posted September 15, 2018 So are my and LarryLix's times acceptable, or an indication that something is wrong ?? The biggest delay I have is "Loading Scene Widgets" and I only have 6 scenes ..Barry
