DennisC Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 While using ISY v5 platorm, does Nodelink have a Heartbeat to monitor? I haven't been able to find anything. Thanks, Dennis
paulbates Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 There's a heartbeat node for nodelink devices instead of a variable when you look at the device in the admin console. The nodelink changes the heartbeat node from -1 to 1 I've been using this approach for my nodlink devices. It works well Everytime the heartbeat changes from 1 to -1, it restarts. If the heartbeat fails, it falls through the wait. There's a note in the link about getting falses when starting the admin console. I don't see that happen any longer
DennisC Posted September 18, 2018 Author Posted September 18, 2018 Paul, Thanks for the confirmation. I'm not seeing a heartbeat node in the admin console. All I see is ISY Data which includes time, day, date, week, month, season, & then I have sun position. Not sure where else to look?
larryllix Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 NodeLink heartbeats are a field parameter under each node server device working with ISY. Some older node codes may not include a heartbeat. Look at the device page in the admin console.
io_guy Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 There's no heartbeat node for ISYData since a couple fields are constantly incrementing. Just monitor one of them.
