During a recent remodel, the contractor tossed one of my Insteon Leak Detectors.  It was a recent version with the heartbeat/on/off nodes.

I want to delete the detector from my list, however, the ISY requests that I activate the sensor in order to delete it from my list.  I am operating from the ISY Admin Console with the current ISY software.

How can I work around the need to activate the sensor since I no longer have it available?

You should be able to acknowledge that prompt, like you put the sensor in linking mode, and ignore it. The ISY wants to remove links from it, but that's not possible now.  You may get some error messages when the ISY tries to update the device (that doesn't exist) but eventually all traces of it should be gone.
