beninsteon Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Hi, Sorry to have so many posts recently. I really appreciate this piece of software and the work you've put into it. I am using Kiddie hardwired smoke & CO detectors in my home and have them connected to my Honeywell Alarm panel (zone 1 fire, zone 8 CO) with the Kiddie CO120X and SM120X. I actually got the idea from you in an old post When either the smoke or CO detector goes off, it looks like the XX120Xs only open for a moment and then go back to their normal state. The trigger is detected by the alarm panel, but I think the switch is so fast that the actual zone status nodelink sees does not change (and thus is not reflected in the ISY). The "Partition 1" node does see the alarm and "Fire Alarm" goes from 0 to 1. The only difficulty I have here is I can't detect the difference between a "Fire" and a "CO" alarm. Is there any way to use the data the EVL is sending to NodeLink to get more precise feedback here? They Honeywell panels do provide different feedback based on Fire or CO alarms (if zone types are correctly set). Is there any way you could add a "CO Alarm" variable to the "Partition X" node? io_guy Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Yep, no problem adding a separate variable based on your log. Will add when I'm back from vacation.
io_guy Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 So not as straight forward as I hoped. The fire alarm gets reset because it can read a %00 update which includes two bits for fire. The CO does not have bits in the %00 so I'd have to reset it based on the panel not being in "trouble" anymore. Can you give me another log with a few more lines? I want to see the CO alarm (not fire), and see the %00 after it is cleared.

beninsteon Posted January 26, 2019 Author Posted January 26, 2019 Thanks so much. Updated to latest version. CO Trouble variable now appears in partition node. Unfortunately when there is CO trouble the variable doesn't change (panel trouble changes to 1 but CO trouble stays at 0). Fire trouble works as it should.
