SpicyMikey Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I'm upgrading my network from the old Insteon HomeLinc software and can't figure out how to swap out a bad device for a replacement. As we all know devices go bad. When that device is integrated into your automation system with scenes and programs, you don't want to just delete the device and add a new one. That means finding all the references to it and manually replacing them all. With HomeLinc you could add the new device and then to a "From/To" action. The software found and replaced all the references for you. How can I do a similar action
Michel Kohanim Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 @SpicyMikey, https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Replacing_a_Device With kind regards, Michel
SpicyMikey Posted April 17, 2019 Author Posted April 17, 2019 Thanks. I'm usually a bit better with users guides but i missed this page somehow. Did a search on the word swap rather than replace. Of course I tried to right click on the device to look for an option like that, but it was not there since it was still in a folder. Thanks for the guidance
