rowland
How did you guys do this? It's not that I actually need to know, I'm just curious. I tried using HouseLinc to look at the KPL's link database but HouseLinc can't read the link database. I'm supposing this means that the link database contains links in a configuration that HouseLinc doesn't understand, much less, know how to present. Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
Hi Rowland, Are you trying to reverse engineer our product Button associations are not stored in the link database. They are memory locations in the KPL itself that you have to play with. How did we do it? Pretty much some very interesting code inside ISY! Thanks and with kind regards, Michel How did you guys do this? It's not that I actually need to know, I'm just curious. Mark Sanctuary
You can find out more info on the KPL functionality from Smarthome if you want to buy the developer kit; check out the details here. Not sure how much it costs now it was $99 when I did it a few years ago. I did it to see how the Insteon stuff works, cool info to check out if you like reading lots of tech docs and white papers.
