I'm getting message "Cannot determine Insteon Engine" adding Outdoor Switch 2634-222.
My system seems to be working ok otherwise.
I did a 1 minute YouTube video, see at

Thanks for any help...

UPDATE... SUCCESS!!

So, after some testing, i noticed that my two Access Points (2443) didn't have their LED lit.
(I've had them for 2-3 years now)
(My wife didn't like them hogging outlets anyways, so it's a bonus if i can get away without them now)

So I pulled them, and was able to get the new ON/OFF OUTDOOR modules 2634-222 to link!

I'm not 100% sure if this was the fix, but it could very well be.

So the Access Points are now in the GARBAGE, and I've got tons of dual devices, so I'm hoping I don't need to bother with them anymore.

Thanks for feedback.

There were some issues with the older access points and they have since been discontinued.

In the future if you see the need for range extenders you can use the plug-in on/off modules or the lamplinc dimmer. They are basically a range extender with an extra option.

Is there any reason ON/OFF OUTDOOR MODULE 2634-222 won't do the same job?
(I like them more, as I find they fit in my spaces better)

Any dual band device will work including those

The 2443 Hardware Version 2. Where built on the same base 2413 PLM main board and have the same power supply issues as the 2413S.

Both of mine also died {no Green LED}. I rebuilt mine with the same parts we use to fix the failing PLMs we have.
