problems with upgrade to 5.0.15A

I have tried inserting a repeater between the devices and the ISY with Zero help. Tried sync'ing devices, repairing and healing. Nothing corrects the problem. Tried moving the repeater to many locations again, no cure. Has anyone else been experiencing this problem? Appears to only show an error when ISY tries to wake up and then put to sleep these devices. Other than these annoying errors, devices appear to function correctly.

Techman, How do I verify the version of the multisensory and the firmware level?

I am using the Aeotec Range Extender 6 model ZW117-A01

UI version 5.0.15A

Zwave board is the 500

Keep in mind, worked with zero problems with 4.7.3 and 300 Dongle

Verifying the firmware on the Multisensor 6 is a bit of a process. I wouldn't be concerned with it now.

Some forum members have posted that the coverage range with the 500 module is less than the 300 module.

Is your multisensory 6 running on batteries or a power supply?  How far is the range extender from the multisensory 6.  How far is the range extender from the ISY?

Your issue appears to be that the Multisensor is not communicating with the range extender. When you moved the repeater did you do a heal each time you moved it, if not try doing that.

I have both the range extender and several multisensory 6 devices using the 300 series dongle and have never had a problem. They are quite reliable.

You’re second paragraph is precisely what I am experiencing. But My understanding is the 300 Dongle will not work with 5.0.15A. Is that correct?
I have tried the range extender in multiple locations and yes, also tried healing; zero help.

The multi sensor is on batteries as is the second device which is a open close sensor. Both worked no problem on 4.7.3 with the 300. The Aeotec multi sensor is about 8 feet from the range extender and range extender is about 30 feet from ISY. The range extender has been moved many times closer to and further from the ISY as well as the multisensor. The problem seems to only occur when the ISY is awakening the devices and waiting for an ACK. I-get an error almost every time. Appears to me as a timing conflict between the ISY and the devices or possibly some sort of collision of data. The devices appear to be operating correctly except for these error which reduce my confidence in their reliability to present accurate data when it is critically required.

BTW, This all became a problem when I attempted, 3 times, to upgrade to 5.0.25A with the 300 Dongle and experienced this degradation in signal strength. The 500 Dongle did not improve the performance so I suspect the problem lies somewhere in the upgrade to 50.15A.

The 300 series dongle will work with both 4.7.3 and 5.015A.  The 500 series dongle requires the 5.x.x ISY firmware.

Based on the distances between your devices everything should be working. It's possible that the update is an issue. You shouldn't have noticed any change in performance with the 300 series dongle between 4.7.3 and 5.0.15A. My guess is that the range extender didn't properly install.

If you put the event viewer in level 3 then query the range extender does the extender respond without errors?

The log looks good. Try removing and reinstalling the Multisensor 6. Then do a heal.

If I remember correctly you have the option of installing both devices with security encryption which is supported by the 500 series dongle. You may want to use that option if you haven't already.
