JacquesB Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Hi, Here is another suggestion for the ISY's GUI : I would like to create scene without delays and once done, update the controller. A "Scene Update" feature, just like for the program. It is possible to update a program, modify this, switch tab, be back and complete the update before saving it. I would like to have the same option for scene : remove this, add that, switch this from a responder to a controller, etc. Once done, the user save the new scene and only then the new settings are pushed in the devices. I do not care if the GUI need to send 3 commands in the background for that. That's the job of a GUI : to make the manipulation easy and then translate that in computer-usable language. Mostly, the re-programming of scenes including a RemoteLinc would be much easier, doing all the updates in one intervention. As the GUI is right now, you can add more than one device at a time, but can not add one while removing another or switch one from a responder to a controller. It is also impossible to update 2 different scenes before sending the commands on the Insteon network. I think the GUI should handle all of that transparently. In waiting of my next ideas for you... Jacques
Michel Kohanim Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Hi Jacques, Excellent idea and what we called "batch mode". This is already moving up on our list but it's a little lower than ELK features. With kind regards, Michel
