redapplenine Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 I just found out about Echo Flex ($24.99) Which has the option to add a motion sensor for $14.99. I’m not sure what I’m going do with it yet, But it should be interesting to be able to add a couple extra echoes in hallways and bathrooms and design some routines based on its motion sensor. I’m curious how I will be able to integrate this with ISI if at all, but it is still cool even if it is limited. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Kevin Cannon Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 I'm kind of curious about this too - please let us know what you find out If your utilizing the ISY Portal with your echoes now I would expect you could notify the ISY by running a program (exposed as a device in the portal) in your routine that turns on your light All theoretical , as I don't own a flex yet
Art_DuVall Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 I bought some flexes and motion detectors. I use motion detectors in Alexa routines and they work fine. Any idea how to directly link them back to the ISY? I was thinking about creating a scene, exposing it through the portal, and then using the Alexa routine to control the scene. Haven’t tried it yet.... hallway; mud room; bathrooms

lilyoyo1 Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 What are you trying to accomplish? If the isy won't see your sensor then it can't work with scenes
larryllix Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 I suspect you will get such a delay you will abandon that usage.Nothing beats Insteon direct linked scenes, except ac powered wall occupancy switches for speed, unfortunately.Sent using Tapatalk
redapplenine Posted December 24, 2019 Author Posted December 24, 2019 I actually gave up and never bought an Amazon flex because the Insteon motion sensors go on sale for $29.99 or lower. I already have enough Alexa devices and I think the motion sensor will be more versatile. My only problem right now is that the firmware version I have does not support the Insteon motion sensor.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
