Possible to run Polisy in a freebsd jail?

Since Polisy is running FreeBSD is it possible to just purchase the software and run in in a FreeBSD jail?

I have an existing FreeBSD box running a media server, fileserver, and a nextcloud server. Adding another jail and running the software side of Polisy would be better than adding more hardware.

I doubt it. Some time was spent creating a custom hardware key that the software will lock to.
However polyglot is likely a different story.

Just install Polyglot on your FreeBSD box.  If you want to duplicate the experience that Polyglot offers on the Polisy, you could create a jail (and use the UDI package feeds).

In terms of things other than Polyglot, if you have the skills to manage your own FreeBSD box, there's nothing you would get with a Polisy (at least today) that you don't already have -- at present, there's nothing on the Polisy other than Polyglot.

The hardware does have a TPM chip, so it seem probable that in the future there may be software offered on the Polisy that won't be able to run on other hardware - but that's not the case today.

From the sounds of it, it's not worth the effort to set up polyglot in a FreeBSD jail (I do have polyglot running on a pi but was hoping to eliminate the pi).

For me, I just wait for the Polisy to fully integrate the existing ISY functions and abilities. Then replace the pi and ISY with one box.
