ulrick65 Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 I thought I saw this at one time, but I can't find out...so I have to ask it here and hope someone has something. First, what do the colors mean in the main tab? There seems to be 4 colors, with 3 of them being most prominent and I can't seem to put a pattern to them: Blue - the ISY itself is blue, that's the only device that is (that I can see) Black - All folders and scenes that I have are black, many devices are black...but not all (see next two colors). Red - I have quite a few devices in various places, all are working fine. Does not seem to be any pattern. Some Switchlinc Dimmers, som Keypads, etc. Pink - Seems to be the devices themselves when not in a scene (either directly under ISY itself or in a folder)...but not always. I have some devices in the folder that display as black. In one example, the IO Sensor on my garage door, the input is pink and the output is black. Can anyone point me to some documentation on this or provide some input as to what these colors mean? Thanks.

Bumbershoot Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 There is some variability according to the "Theme" used. The blue (Default) theme has no black devices, only blue devices. The "Grey" theme has black devices. So, in the "Grey" theme: In the "Devices" pane, the black color means that these devices can be responders only in scenes. If they're pink then they can be controllers or responders. In the "Scenes" pane, the devices in each scene that are controllers are red, while the responders are black, irrespective of the devices capabilities. Nodeserver nodes seem to deviate a bit, as most all nodes are black, but their membership lists lists their ability to be both controllers and responders. I have two nodes that are explicitly named as controllers by their respective nodeservers, and they are pink. Generally, you can look to the right of your AC screen to see the "Membership" list. You can discern the differences by look there, with the exception of nodeserver nodes. 1
