Blackbird Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Is it possible somehow to wake a PC with the ISY? I have a scene on the Harmony remote for watching my HTPC but I have go through the agony of manually wake the PC(I have to move the mouse)! Thanks
Bumbershoot Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Yes, if you go to your ISY Configuration | Networking | Wake On Lan tabs, and enter the appropriate credentials for the machine you want to wake. Then you can write a program that uses the "Wake On Lan" resource you just created.

Recently I've been testing out JRiver and Kodi but I'm not thrilled about having a full PC running for JRiver (but it plays great and has full BD menu support). I'm thinking I may look at Dune.
Blackbird Posted January 19, 2020 Author Posted January 19, 2020 Kodi is the best ive used and i only use it for movies. If you are watching 10 bit the color is off.

Yeah I tried Kodi... I've never been real impressed with it even from XBMC days.... I have J.River MC and it plays everything nicely I'm just looking for less maintenance than running a PC to stream movies from my NAS.

That's from the Configuration tab and all I see is a box for Network Settings. Am I looking in the wrong area? Thanks

No, under the Network Settings tab, there should be three more tabs, starting with "Wake On LAN". See screenshot. It's possible that you need to have purchased the ISY Portal or the Networking module to get these tabs, I don't know.

Sorry, I don't know where the magic lies. I'd guess on both, if I had to. Edited January 19, 2020 by Bumbershoot

The MobiLinc portal won't get you the networking module, but you can still purchase the networking module from UDI for a lot less than the cost of a Polisy. But, get a Polisy... There's a universe of devices out there!
