Covid 19

I have never met any of you in person, but over the past few years I have established  relationships with many of you. I know that quite some of you are old geezers like me, and I just want to wish you all safe travels through the dark tunnel that we are in right now. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel, even though we may not see it yet.

As most of us are stuck at home, I encourage the smarter and dedicated ISY'ers to come up with more nodeservers for the common purpose.

Good health and good luck to you all.

Got 8 days on our self-isolation here after returning from Mexico. We did cheat somewhat trying to get some basics in grocery stores along the way home. Funny to watch people try to act normal but make wide berth circles around my shopping cart. I had one obnoxious guy in Home Depot try to get in my face at that time. Today I would have grabbed something long from the shelves and pushed him back. :)

I got some improvements done on my system as well as my gGenealogy software.  Hard learning HTML, CSS, Python and javascript at the same time. :)

We are moving forward slowly.

French researcher posts successful CV19 drug trial

you can do a search on this. The drug I believe is the one that was given to us in Viet Nam to fight against getting Malaria. It was a horse sized pill if I recall.

Stay safe everyone. My back surgery next week may be on hold because of the virus, God I nope not as the pain level is 7>10 24/7 on the heavy duty meds, can't lay down, walk... for the last month and a half. All back surgery is considered as Elective surgery per the hospitals/insurance companies. :-( So I may not be getting it done next week.

CDC statistics show COVID-19 virus not that bad compared to regular seasonal flus that have killed between  22,000 to 55,000  US people this winter, so far. The figures are also minimums and estimates because many States don't considerer flus a reportable disease.

Although very mild for most people the spread speed ration is very scary and it seems to be more serious the older you are.

Let’s just hope that the light we see is not the “Walk towards the light” type!

I heard some of these lions crossed the Bering Strait and sneaked into Canada. You better be careful

Saw the Italian Prime Minister Mayor on TV tonight responding to students that wanted to have graduations parties. His words translated into English were. "If you do, we will send the police....with flamethrowers!"

Russia knows how to keep people in their homes!

183619531_RussianCOVID-19control.jpg.80936ad3ea7c0a83b546c1beba0ce382.jpg

In March 2020, several cities around the world had issued orders for people to shelter in place and practice social distancing in an attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19. Despite these orders, many locales saw people gathering at beaches and for religious events. This left officials in a bit of conundrum:  How do you make sure a population obeys a self-quarantine order?

According to an internet rumor, Russia solved the problem by releasing 500 lions.

But Russian President Vladimir Putin did no such thing.

While the above-displayed image does not show a real “breaking news” alert, it does feature a real image of a lion roaming a public street. This image comes from an incident in 2016 in which a large lion was spotted roaming the streets in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Of course this is not real......  So many weird emails and whatsapp messages. I try to ignore them but the lions made me laugh and I was wondering about a lion triggering one of Larryllix's motion sensors.

I believe the dog walking one was Larryllix's dog but he will not admit to it.

Not my dog! Don't even go there! In my neighbourhood they are dog crazy!
2 doors up= 4 dogs and two cats
one door up = 1 dog and one cat
across the street= 1 dog
one door down= 1 cat
behind= 1 dog and 1 full size pig
behind, beside= 1 dog
across side street= 2 new hound dogs that howl when out, another neighbour is going to poison them, had a few near fist fights on street
me=0 dogs, but 4 dog whistles, no response anymore as they are accustomed to neighbours blowing them too frequently.
spring is coming with open windows and so are police (animal control officers) for this one.

Not my dog!!! That my story and I am sticking to it! :)

UPDATE: March 25. Neighbour reported he is getting an Air Horn to "get even". I may do the same with the summer open windows coming. :(

I see only a huge effect on the world's economy and how millions of people lose their job. It is a very pity situation and it will damage the economy of all countries, especially small and low-developed. And I observed one more thing that many companies started to produce hand sanitizers. I've bought an arcreef sanitizer and I'd say that it is a good one. I've seen yesterday a Jack Daniels hand sanitizer, I was surprised a little))
