Installed Mobilinc and now ISY shows offline in ISY Portal

It's my understanding that Mobilinc can now use the ISY Portal to work/manage the ISY. So unless you also signed up with the Mobilinc portal/connection (whatever it is called) then the ISY Portal should still be registering online. You would need to involve UDI support to re-register the ISY/ISY Portal if you activated the Mobilinc Portal. Just open a ticket on the Universal Devices support site to get you fixed up.

Or at the very least tag @InsteonNut in your post to get his attention to help troubleshoot. Wes also suggests emailing their support with questions to get possibly quicker assistance to technical questions. I'd say that would be ideal during the trial period so you don't have wasted time.

For my personal use of Mobilinc I only purchased the Pro version when I first got my ISY and have been very happy with it. I use the ISY Portal so never changed to the Mobilinc X/connect or newer subscription based method because what I purchased was expensive and does what I need it to do (even 2 years later). Thanks Wes! But I use it to just have quick access to turn things on/off while away and only iPhone or iPad with me. If I'm in the house I use Echo voice commands or flip my own switch (old school style!).

The ISY can only support one portal at a time. Our MobiLinc Portal is tailored for our MobiLinc apps and especially for MobiLinc X. With MobiLinc Portal and a MobiLinc X subscription we can deliver features for your ISY you can't get anywhere else like instant on/no syncing, custom buttons, family accounts, real-time settings sync with all your iOS and Android devices, IFTTT Channel integration for your ISY, Alexa, Google Home, and more.

There is an option to use the ISY portal instead, but you'll lose all the above cloud functionality and deep app integration from MobiLinc.

Am I not able to use Polyglot cloud either?  Is says ISY is offline.

Polyglot cloud is part of the udi portal so if you have mobilinc connect it would not work

Thanks.  I'm trying to get back to the portal.  I deactivated Mobilinc and am trying to following the steps below.  I don't see the portals tab after logging into admin console.  There is no request for access.

 

There are three steps for having ISY communicate through ISY Portal:

1. Creating an account on " ISY Portal if one does not exist (click on the Create new account link). If one already exists, simply login

2. Registering ISY with your account in ISY Portal using ISY's UUID (Help | About - also included in your invoice). To do this click on the Add ISY button and copy/paste the UUID from your invoice or order notification

3. Giving permission to ISY to communicate with ISY Portal

  • Login to the Admin Console
  • Click Configuration | Portals tab
  • You will see a request for access from your account in ISY Portal
  • Approve it
  • You are done!

Try restarting the ISY first, if you still don't have the portals tab then open a ticket support@universal-devices.com and they will get you fixed up... I've noticed more than one thread where people have trouble coming back to the portal after a mobilinc trial.
