MarkThoma Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 This may be an old question but I can't seem to find an answer elsewhere on the forum. I've had an ISY 994i for 7 or 8 years running a number of programs I created. Recently I wanted to change some of the programs and realized that I can no longer get the Admin Console to run on my PC (Win 10 - typically use Chrome for a browser). I understand that Chrome no longer supports Java. I tried the http://isy.universal-devices.com/994i/admin.jnlp and http://isy/admin.jnlp URLs but cannot get them to run. (Error message says "Unable to launch the application". Are there alternatives to running the Admin Console for programming the ISY 994i?
AnthemAVM Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 Mark, Sounds like you need to right click on make sure the program is opening with Java.
DennisC Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 Try using start.jnlp following the instructions here: Chrome works fine. Make sure your firmware and UI versions match once you get in. 1

Do you have any idea what firmware version your ISY is currently running? Have you not updated firmware in 7 or 8 years? or am I reading too much into your wording? The best method is the Launcher, It will automatically match the UI version to the firmware version. Instructions are here: Edited June 16, 2020 by MrBill 1
MarkThoma Posted June 20, 2020 Author Posted June 20, 2020 Thanks - That worked! I'll be updating my firmware shortly.
