jblackst5000 Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 Whenever I re-boot my ISY 994ir my Elk system automatically goes to "Armed Away" mode. I am puzzled as to why this is happening. I did not write a program to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Did someone else ghost-write a program to do this? Sorta kidding but you must have something causing this. If you don’t think it’s in ISY could it be something in Elk Rules? I assume you have the Elk module? Did this just start happening? You say it happens at reboot. Is that when you power cycle the ISY - does it happen when ISY boots up or when the ISY loses power? jblackst5000 Posted July 17, 2020 Author Posted July 17, 2020 Hi, I am sorry I did not get back to you until now. Thanks so much for your help so far solving my problem. I just looked at all my Elk Rules and don't see any that would cause my Elk system to automatically re-boot and go into "Armed Away Mode" I have written quite a few rules but they all are something like eg: If the front door is violated notify Jim on his cell phone. I have had this problem now for a few years at least now. Since I have my ISY plugged into a UPS my ISY very seldom re-boots unless I do it. However, every time I Elk automatically goes into "Armed Away Mode" It happens when my ISY boots up. It would happen if I either re-boot my ISY from the admin console or just unplug it and plug it back in. Thanks again for all your help so far. Jim

Jim I suspect you might have a program that is doing this. Do you have *any* programs in ISY that arm the Elk? I assume you have the Elk module. I would reboot the ISY and then check the program summary tab in the admin console. Sort the programs by last run time to see what could be causing this. I was also going to suggest rebooting the ISY with the network cable disconnected as a brute force sorta check. Won’t hurt although you could just start with my first suggestion. DennisC Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 If you can't find an ISY program causing this, I would suggest disabling all of your ISY Elk related programs by right clicking on the program and selecting disable. Try rebooting then and if all is good enable the programs one at a time, rebooting in-between.
jblackst5000 Posted July 17, 2020 Author Posted July 17, 2020 I just disabled all of the Elk programs in my ISY admin console. I did a re-boot of my ISY and my Elk still went into "Armed Away Status" There is a program that my installer wrote about 10 years ago that makes no sense to me. It is a program called Query If Time is 3am Then response type 10 I have no idea what that is suppose to do. Thanks,

If you have all your Elk programs disabled, there shouldn't be anything left to impact the Elk. I checked the ISY Elk configuration tab and don't see anything there to automatically arm the ELK. Just a thought, go to ISY Programs, then click on "Status" tab. See if any of the programs have "run at startup" turned on and if so, check those programs to see if they have anything to do with the Elk. Also, if you have ElkRP2 program, you can connect and download the log to see what armed the Elk. If none of this helps, I would suggest opening a help ticket with UDI.
