It would also need to pass zwave certification with the isy since it's embedded. Both takes lots time and money. While the 994 won't be discontinued anytime soon, it's closer to eol than it's beginning. Why dump money into design and so forth when their future product is already out which is Polisy. Michel has stated they will be using a 700 series dongle with that once the time comes for the port
