October 8, 20205 yr When I set on levels for dimmer switches in a program the lights will not respond; if I use the same program, but send an ON or off command they will. Am I missing something? ISY994i/IR Pro firmware 5.0.13D

Am I missing something? ISY994i/IR Pro firmware 5.0.13D SwitchLinc Dimmers have many On Levels. There is the local level when turned on from the paddle. There is the On level included in a program (assumed to be 100% if not specified). Every one of the scenes (about 256 of them) have their own levels also. Your program is specifying the On level to turn Onto, when you send the dimmers an On command or tap on the paddle.
October 8, 20205 yr Author I am trying to set the on level to 50%, but it doesn't matter what I set them for the switch will not respond to any percent level, only on off / dim, bright commands.

Do you want to set the current level to 50% or the On level (when the paddle is tapped, or an On is sent from ISY) to 50% ? Here is the difference in program line looks. Then sets the light level to 50% immediately> Else sets the light level to 70% (for future Ons) but does NOT turn the light on. Your program is not turning the lights On. You are only creating a preset level. Demo Ons - [ID 01B4][Parent 0001] If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Set 'Dining Room / Dining Table' On 50% Else Set 'Dining Room / Dining Table' On Level 70% Edited October 8, 20205 yr by larryllix
October 8, 20205 yr The devil is in the details. As larryllix alluded to, your program changes the local control of the switch not actually the isy itself turning on/off His example has the ISY turning on the light at the level that you want Edited October 8, 20205 yr by lilyoyo1
October 9, 20205 yr Author So is there a way in a program to set the level of a dimmer switch to a different level then the preset on level? If I remember there used to be a way.

If I remember there used to be a way. Other than what was just shown you in two different posts, you can hold the paddle down on the top or bottom to preset the on levels for future single taps. You can create up to about 250 different scenes easily inside ISY by using the menus in the admin console and then dragging a dropping various devices into it and setting their level and ramping speed presets.

Things have gotten confused, but I believe you're trying to have a program turn on a light to say 50%. In the admin console you're selecting "On Level" which is not what you want to select. Select "On" instead, and pick the % in the box that appears:
October 9, 20205 yr Author Ahhhh.... Thank you MrBill! With a 4K screen and small font it was near impossible to find the expansion arrow to select the percent on pull down. All is right in ISY land now
