I have an ISY994i/IR-PRO purchased in 2012. I recently decided to upgrade to Z-Wave, and purchased the Z-Wave dongle from UDI and installed it in the 994 per the instructions here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Z-Wave:_Ordering/Assembly_Instructions
I also upgraded to 5.2.0 prior to installing the dongle. But, after I powered up, I do not see the Z-Wave module option in the Help | Purchase Modules | dialog. Also the top level Z-Wave menu does not show in the Admin console. And in the About dialog, only OpenADR appears under ISY994i/IR-PRO. Any advice where to go from here?
Thanks.

You really should update to 5.3 which is the official version and make sure that you clear your java cache. In addition to that, make sure you are using the ISY launcher. I would also verify that you have the Zwave board inserted in the correct slot.

I've upgraded ISY firmware to 5.3.0, upgraded Java to 8u271, cleared Java cache, and installed the 5.3 launcher using the link indicated in the 5.3.0 forum post.

The admin console still doesn't show Z-wave is installed.

Bad dongle?

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I doubt it. If you go to help>purchase modules>zwave module, do you see the ability to purchase it for a dollar

No. I do not see the Z-Wave module option in the Help | Purchase Modules | dialog. Nor does the top level Z-Wave menu show in the Admin console. And in the About dialog, only OpenADR appears under ISY994i/IR-PRO.

What options do you have when you click purchase modules

None. When I click Help | Purchase Modules |, I'm taken to the UD ISY portal login page.

Is your ISY registered with UD? I would suggest sending your uuid to them and have it verified.

I believe so. See attached. How would I verify? Create a support ticket?

I should add that all of my Insteon devices and programs function normally thru the isy.

Sorry, didn’t see picture you posted earlier. And you clicked on modules button. Nothing was listed for purchase?

No. When I select Help | Purchase Modules |, the option to purchase the Z-wave module is not shown.

I've about come to the same conclusion.

Thank you all for your help.

In the My Account. The screen you posted earlier.

On the registered ISY product line. Try clicking on the Action Area. Modules tab.

The purchase modules choice in the Help tab. No longer shows you options to add or delete modules. It just takes you to your account information.

I get "Not a valid serial number" even tho the SN listed matches that of my ISY. Also tried to Add product option above the Action tab, but the Z-wave dongle is not listed in the product pull-down menu.

I just noticed that under the Product tab, it shows I have an ISY99i/IR PRO, not an ISY994i/IR PRO. I suspect that may be the source of my problems. I must have mistakenly selected the wrong device when I registered it 8 years ago. I tried adding an ISY994i/IR PRO, but get back "Error: Not a valid serial number".

I've submitted a ticket to UD support - awaiting their response.

Did you ever get this sorted out?  I just purchased the 500 module and plan to do the install...and foray into Z-Wave.  However, I have a similar issue to you on the ISY type.  It shows the wrong serial number and ISY99i/IR PRO...when in fact I have the ISY994i/IR PRO just like you and I get the same error when I try to add it "Not a valid serial number".

Thanks.

You need to open a support ticket with UD and they will change it over. Be sure to send them your serial number.
