robandcathy1 Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 So I decided to replace my insteon leak sensors with Z-wake was some what of a hurdle. I managed to add 2 leak sensors when I found out they dont work well without extenders/repeaters before I spend a ton of money I have a few switches that are giving me issues that I plan on replacing with z-wave switches because they already act as repeaters with a much longer reach. My question is when added so many options arrived like low and high temp, battery level when added all blank but binary, now i have searched wiki and forums for programming instructions uncertain if I have to add each parameter 1 by 1 or if they show up but not available for this model. This sensor is great if all available options work. I have a service dog (well all pets matter) but I would like to know if ac went out or heat, or I have a leak, or dog kicked over the sensor. These are all great functions if there was a wiki or you tube video how to set this up. attached is a ss of what I see and only changes I can make are in binary. Also will a insteon device control a z-wave device if its added as a controlle/responder? Im migrating from insteon to z-wave slowly as devices fail. Thanks in advanced

Thanks in advanced Zwave instructions are in the manuals for the devices you have. Every mfg. utilizes different parameters so you'll want to find yours on the device mfg. website. Most of the nodes are probably extra that zwave protocol has but your device probably doesn't use. Those can be deleted. Depending on your firmware and devices, insteon can potentially be if used in a scene. Just add it and see. If it doesn't work, the. You would need to use programs.
robandcathy1 Posted February 11, 2021 Author Posted February 11, 2021 my question was do I have to program every parameter? and see if it supports it? If i Figure this out ill post my own wiki to help out
