carealtor Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 I found a 2487S v44 in my stash, and sure enough, everything the OP @mango ran into I was able to replicate. After a factory reset it is much brighter than is achievable using the ISY. Seems the only way OP can solve this is to replace the v44 with a v45. 1
MrBill Posted June 1, 2021 Posted June 1, 2021 @mangoJust to toss this out there..... You can swap faces between 6 and 8 button keypads if that helps you get brightness levels side by side to behave better. there's also a paragraph in that post for 6 button to 8 button. I know your specific problem is v.44 vs v.45, but if you can swap hardware around to get what you want it may be worth it. 1
mango Posted June 1, 2021 Author Posted June 1, 2021 (edited) MrBIll, Thank you I am quite proficient at that maneuver. ? The v44 relay only fires LED non dimmable spots outside. I was considering using a v45 dimmer then use the methods in reverse we discussed a short while ago to keep the output at max should a person fiddle with the buttons. A fudge but perhaps workable.... You shouldn't use a dimmer on non dimmable bulbs.
mango Posted June 1, 2021 Author Posted June 1, 2021 Yes I know. I would most probably get away with it though. Alternatively should I buy a new 2487 from an authorized dealer would it be v45+?
mango Posted June 1, 2021 Author Posted June 1, 2021 ....aaaaand of course nowhere has new stock in Canada. I hate the fact I've invested so much time, energy and $ into this infrastructure only for it to evaporate in front of my eyes.
